If you've been around long enough you've probably already heard me talk about The Venue on Main in Safford, AZ. Adrian and Leah are the sweetest couple and I was so excited when they decided to have their pictures taken there!
The Venue on Main is not a natural light studio per se, but it's the closest thing we have in town and I was thrilled to get to shoot there! The light that comes from those huge windows is so fun to play with!
We spent almost 2h exploring the place and trying different things in different spots. It was awesome.
I hope you liked those pictures as much as we did! Message me if you'd like to set something up and come shoot with me there too ;)
This couple is seriously the nicest and most patient couple I met last year haha. They happily agreed to model for me when I needed to practice with my new camera and I'm so grateful for that!
You see, transitioning from a cropped sensor camera to a full frame has been a major adjustment for me. What was supposed to be a quick 30 minute photoshoot ended up lasting a LOT more than that and they didn't even complain! hahaha
Aren't these stairs the coolest?! I love when I get to play with lines and shapes in my composition!
This image below was my dream shot for a while, and I finally got it! Now I only have to decide if I like color or b&w better.
Another one that's hard to choose.
We walked around EAC Discovery Park Campus in Safford, Arizona. This is a super versatile location that I really love, but I only had two clients request for it in 4 years of business, so I was itching to go back and shoot more!
So yeah, thanks for stopping by and reading this so far! I hope this post makes you want to come shoot with me there too. Just look at this silhouette with Mt. Graham in the background! If that doesn't get you excited I don't know what will ;)
Life got CRA-ZY!
It only took us 5 months from the day we started talking and planning family pictures, until we actually getting around to doing it. But we did it!
We tried our best shot at tripod+phone app Family session, but I guess it worked. Then husband and I took turns taking pictures of each other with our cute kids (you might have to click on the pictures to see the whole images)
It took us a good half-hour driving around to find a place we liked since two of our possible locations didn't work out. I was so afraid of running out of time and losing light! Once we found a good place and set things up, we were done in about 30min and that was perfect because we finished just before the kids got hungry and we got grumpy haha
Trying out my camera's wi-fi and phone app was a challenge on itself. (You can even spot my phone here haha) Lots of trial and error and LOTS of out-takes at the end of the day, but it was fun!
My favorite picture was the very last one Adam took of me with the kids. I feel like it sums up pretty well what my days look like as a mom of 3 with husband doing school and work full time haha
Life is crazy, life is busy, sometimes it gets crazy busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We're right where we are supposed to be, I love these little humans of ours, and there's no one else I'd like to spend this life with. We are so blessed! 2018 is going to be great!
