Today I tried freelensing for the first time. It was AWESOME! Then one of the Facebook Photographer's Groups I'm part of decided to make a monthly challenge and freelensing it was! haha I guess I got a head start ;)
At first I thought my attempt to Succulent Propagation would be a good subject, so that's where I started.
Then I noticed that the light could directly hit my camera sensor and look how cool it looks! :D
Also, let's all pretend the camera shake is not there ;)
When I realized those teeny leaves wouldn't make my first time freelensing any easier, I looked around and grabbed the first thing in front of me (mostly because I wanted to be done before the babies woke up from their naps) and look at that! I love how you can see how thin the DOF is!
Annnnnd.... The babies woke up!
Since my wedding ring ended up being my new subject, I got out my shadow box and had a lot of fun with it! All while trying to keep the curious monkeys away ;) I really like that we used fake flowers for my wedding bouquet because they'll never die! (there's even a song in Portuguese that always comes to mind that talks about that). And all the other details... So many memories! I can't wait until I can tell my kids all the "whens" and "whys" about this box! Also, my MIL rocks! None of that would be possible without her :*
